Imagination The Americas, Inc. is looking for a Senior Production Manager to join our growing team based in Dearborn, Michigan. Please apply only if you currently reside in Southeast Michigan or are willing to relocate to the area at your own expense.
The Production Management Group in our Dearborn office is responsible for delivering auto show exhibitions and events for clients in the Americas. In collaboration with other departments at Imagination we conceive, develop and deliver projects for clients on a Global basis, the primary focus for this role being Ford Motor Company clients in the Americas.
The Senior Production Manager is responsible for Production Budget, Scheduling and Delivery of all technical and fabricated elements as well as opening and maintaining ISO 9001 files. Responsibilities include managing third parties to ensure that the delivery of technical and fabricated elements are in accordance with Imagination design intent drawings, specification and our brief.
To be considered for this position, you must have experience in the following areas:
Strategy, Concept and Design
Review client brief and assess requirements with Account Management & Design, including agreement on initial budget split.
Agree design deliverables, based on the agreed production budget/ RFQ responses
Produce overall project time plan with Account Management & Design, together with Scope of Works (when necessary), and agree exhibit house and technical suppliers on-site schedules.
Prepare and issue specification/RFQ documents, according to design requirements; review specification/RFQ responses and for turnkey projects select the appropriate suppliers.
Liaise with the venue / site recce
Ensure any design changes are communicated to all relevant parties
Review and make provision for Health & Safety implications
Specific responsibilities include:
For turnkey projects, ensure all deliverables are within the production budget and continue to manage the production budget
Coordinate Exhibit House deliverables and ensure they are in accordance with the agreed specification.
For turnkey projects, refine production and on-site schedules
Monitor supplier and Exhibit House technical/engineering drawings and static calculations
Present final drawings and calculations to organisers and local authorities
Manage fabrication/production of all items
Co-ordinate between all technical departments/suppliers (IT, Production Technology, Multi Media, Film and Video, Technical Exhibits etc)
Ensure all information from technical departments is distributed to all relevant fabricators, Exhibit House and technical suppliers
Ensure any changes are communicated to all relevant parties
Ensure Health & Safety implications are identified and the appropriate management measure are implemented
Ensure production, creative and business objectives are met
On-site responsibilities include:
Ensure any late on-site changes are within budget or agreed on Change Order forms
Manage or coordinate with Exhibit House and technical suppliers the on-site schedule
Manage or coordinate with Exhibit House and technical suppliers the installation & dismantling.
Manage or coordinate with Exhibit House product deliveries
Ensure that quality and timing of delivery is maintained
Ensuring snagging and hand over runs smoothly
Manage and maintain the technical running of the event
Manage all returns, storage, and refurbishment financials and schedule
Reconciliation and Evaluation
Financial reconciliation of the production budget
Attend debriefs and communicate results
Archive technical project
Skills & Experience required:
Significant previous experience in similar environment.
Proficient in Microsoft office and CAD drawing packages.
Personal attributes:
Hard working, reliable and attentive to detail
Demonstrable leadership skills, be team oriented and an excellent communicator.
Able to travel for periods of up to 3 weeks.
